PRIDE ART: SCRAPS OF PRIDE – A QUEER COMMUNITY ART PROJECT

7 September @ 16:00 18:00

Picture of hand drawn clothing and fabrics and one scissor

How can we celebrate breaking gender norms?

Come check out our interactive creative gallery where you can help build a tapestry of reclaimed clothing fabric from local queer folks!

Explore queer joy by repurposing old clothes, flags and/or fabric into something new and beautiful! Bring your own materials to recycle or use what’s provided in the space.👕🌈

The vernissage will be on Saturday 7th between 16:00 – 18.00 and will include a short introduction by the artists and, for those interested, a collective start to the tapestry making! The vernissage is open to all ages, and there will be served refreshments (alcohol free). Otherwise, you are welcome to drop in and check out (or even add to) the growing tapestry at any time during opening hours (10:00-18:00).

Hosting artists France & Alaina will be present every afternoon (16:00-18:00) during the week to help out with creating individual pieces if you want a more hands-on approach! 🎨👐

About the artists
Co-hosted by queer/trans artists France Rose and Alaina Broderson. Held at Kvede Second Hand Store’s entrance hall.

Come be a part of something beautiful and celebrate queer creativity with us! 💖🧵
